There is something about Cabo—it’s beyond the typical Cancun experience so many people love. It offers a completely different atmosphere from the lush, tropical Caribbean setting of Cancun or the Riviera Maya. Here, the desert meets the sea, creating a dramatic landscape of mountains, golden sand, rugged cliffs, and deep blue water.
One of the most charming sights in Cabo is the local sea lions. They can often be spotted lounging on rock ledges and formations near the famous Arch at Land’s End or swimming playfully alongside passing boats. Grab a water taxi, glass-bottom boat, or sailing excursion from the Cabo San Lucas Marina for a wonderful opportunity to see them in their natural surroundings.
While Cabo’s coastline is breathtaking, some beaches have strong waves and currents, so families should check which beaches are designated for swimming before heading out for the day. Beyond the beach, Cabo has a relaxed yet luxurious feel that invites you to slow down, take in the scenery, play a round of golf, browse local shops, and linger over dinner as the sun sets.
Cabo isn’t just a beach destination—it’s also home to some truly beautiful golf courses. The scenery is what makes golfing here so memorable. Fairways wind through desert terrain, dramatic mountains rise in the distance, and several holes offer beautiful water views.
We’ve decided to do the Questro Golf Experience. This gives golfers the opportunity to play some of Cabo’s most scenic championship courses. Depending on the pass selected, guests can experience Cabo Real, Club Campestre San Jose, and Puerto Los Cabos. Each round includes 18 holes, a GPS cart, bottled water, and practice facilities. Some passes also include food and drinks. Prices vary by season, so check the website at www.questrogolf.com for the most up-to-date pricing. Clubs can also be rented for an additional fee.
However, we’ve decided to take our own clubs and balls. We learned that those fees can really add up, especially if you’re prone to losing balls! And I can neither confirm nor deny that!
